Key question and answer the panelist wanted the audience to take from the event.
Q. How do you find a good music publisher?
A. Songwriters Association & Relationships – Relationships was the highlight of the evening. The panelist wanted to drive home the importance of this word (relationship). If by chance you have encountered a relationship in the business, honor the relationship that opened the door of your career or could possibly open the door. Travel through the chain of that relationship with respect so as not to blacklist you and your efforts.

Show-Up for Work

by Yaynoc Talk on Jan.17, 2010, under Yaynoc Talk

Goals and inspiration is the focus of this entry, albeit short term or long-term goal. The goal for YAYNOC in 2010 is to show-up for work. Showing-up for work may seem as though it is not a real goal but hopefully you will have a different outlook after watching this short video of Elizabeth Gilbert‘s speech courtesy of TED (Technology , Entertainment, Design) Ideas Worth Spreading.
Elizabeth Gilbert is the author of best-seller Eat, Pray, Love, and honestly although not knowing anymore of the author than that, her speech “nurturing creativity,” proclaimed a viable and reasonable goal.
YAYNOC RECORDS twitted September 2009 on the inspiration of the video and is carrying the message (showing–up to work) in to 2010 and forward.
YAYNOC RECORDS WILL SHOW-UP FOR WORK EVERYDAY!

You Do Not Have to Re-Invent the Wheel

by Yaynoc Talk on Nov.01, 2009, under Yaynoc Talk

Do we really have to or need to re-invent the wheel? Why not just ride on the “training wheels” of  bikes before? I read today an interesting article from a new Twitter follower that reaffirmed thoughts of not having to re-invent the wheel. The author took a very simple concept of talking about a movie and cleverly expanded upon the concept of seeking your model achiever or achievers (who says it has to be one) and doing the homework of delving into their successes and failures to establish a roadmap for your own goals. History can sometimes be our best teacher and platform.  You do not have to re-invent the wheel. What or who are your “training wheels”?

A Sad Day for Entertainment Business and the World

by Yaynoc Talk on Jun.25, 2009, under Yaynoc Talk

Today is a sad day all over the world. Michael Joseph Jackson dies at the age of 50. This is the first music news entry for Yaynoc Records and surely not the entry we wanted or expected. What can be said about one of the greatest entertainers that has not already been said by his family, friends, fans, and media? The life, history, and legend of Michael Joseph Jackson will live for many years to come. Good- bye Michael Jackson, we love you!
We dare omit mentioning the passing of Farrah Fawcett, a iconic actor of the Aaron Spelling series “Charlie Angels” passing also on this day and Ed McMahon host of series “Star Search” passing on Tuesday June 23rd. All families have the condolences of Yaynoc Records.
